A few of the looks our crews build most often.

How it does by region.
Every market has its own weather. Here is what your local crew will tell you.
Plains and Upper Midwest
Cedar handles freeze and thaw well when posts are set below the frost line.
Florida and the Gulf Coast
In Florida humidity we recommend pressure-treated posts and a sealed finish, or vinyl for low upkeep.
Front Range and Mountain West
Dry Front Range air is kind to cedar. We spec heavier posts for wind.
Wood questions, answered.
Cedar or pressure-treated pine?
Cedar resists rot and insects on its own and looks better longer. Treated pine costs less and works for posts. Most of our wood fences are cedar boards on treated posts.
How long does a cedar fence last?
15 to 20 years with a stain or seal every few years. The posts usually decide it, which is why we set them in concrete below the frost line.
Can you match my neighbor's fence?
Usually yes. Send a photo with your estimate request and your crew will match the style, height and stain.
